Up Next, Another Trophy!

Sunday night the staff at the Lindner center had to make room in the trophy case for a new addition. The women's volleyball team added the schools second Big East Championship trophy. If things go well this weekend in Pittsburgh the staff may be clearing some more space Sunday afternoon.

The team opens tournament play Friday:

1st round- Pittsburgh 6:00

Semi finals: Louisville/Syracuse winner 3:30 Saturday

Finals: Sunday 3:00 ESPNU

Pitt Week Begins

Last week it seemed like every sport on campus was going up against West Virginia.  This week it's the University of Pittsburgh.  Of course the football team plays Pitt Saturday, the volleyball team will be in Pittsburgh for the Big East Tournament next weekend, and today the swim team hosts Pitt at the Keating Aquatics Center.

Last year both the men and women lost to the Panthers.  Coming of of a strong performance last week against West Virginia they hope to get their first win of the season today at home.
