First the team won a share of the Big East title, then Thursday night Reed Sunahara was named as the Big East Conference Coach of the Year. This was the head coaches second "coach of the year" honor. In 2001 Sunahara was given the same honor by Conference USA. Four players were also named to the all conference team, Jessie Nevitt, Jessica Elley, Annie Fesl, and Stephanie Neimer.
Tonight the Bearcats open play in the conference tournament with a first round game against the host Pittsburgh Panthers. Their match begins at 6:00 UC is the #2 seed, Pitt is #7
