The volleyball team put their NCAA tournament fate in the hands of the selection committee this Sunday. Louisville won the conference automatic bid with the tournament win over the weekend. How many other Big East Teams will be extended at large bids? Two, maybe three. If that is the case then only one of the conference co-champs may go, UC or St John's. Just like in basketball UC has several factors in their favor. They have a better RPI than St Johns and played a tougher schedule. A victory for UC over UAB in Birmingham this Friday in their final regular season game is very important. The selections will be announced at 10PM Sunday night on ESPNU.
