Team Looks Back At USF Win

Tuesday afternoon after practice the Bearcat Sports Page . com staff was on hand and caught up with some of the players to talk about the USF win. Since most of the local media is limited to what they can show you we try to recap the previous week by letting the players tell you the story about the game. Here is a look back at USF as told by Connor Barwin, Mardy Gilyard, De Angelo Smith and Tony Pike.

Huber Nominee for Wuerfell Trophy: Senior punter Kevin Huber has been nominated for the Wuerfell Trophy. An award that recognizes the player with exemplary community service, academic and athletic achievement.

Mickens a Finalist for Thorpe Award : Senior defensive back Mike Mickens has been named as a semi-finalist for the award that honors the top defensive back in the nation. Mickens is one of 13 semi-finalist.

Four Bearcats headed to Senior Bowl: UC will be represented well in the 2008 Senior Bowl on January 24, 2009 in Mobile, Alabama. Those going are Trevor Canfield, Kevin Huber, Mike Mickens and DeAngelo Smith.
