10 Wins By Christmas, a Nice Present

Monday night the Bearcats posted their 10th win of the season by beating Arkansas Pine Bluff by 30 points.  So what you ask?  Aren't they playing "cupcakes"?   In comparison to years past it is an accomplishment worth noting.  During the past week, for what it's worth, some topics on talk radio have centered around the job Mick Cronin is doing in Clifton.  Let's put win #10 in perspective.  It happened on December 22. Last year win # 10 was put in the books on January 30th and the year before it came ten days earlier, on January 20.  Even looking back at Andy Kennedy's season in charge, his 10th win came on December 28th.  By the way his first win that season was in OT against Mick Cronin and Murray State.
Against similar opponents, this years team went 5-1 in December as opposed to the last years team limping into Christmas 1-5 in the same month.  Ten wins in December with youth and potential looks much better than 6 wins at the same time in previous years with the thought of getting win #1o not a "when" but an 'if".
