'Cats top 'Dogs; Big East gets first win in SEC/Big East Challenge

The men's basketball team handed the Mississippi St. Bulldogs a 75-63 loss in from of  meager crowd at U.S. Bank Arena.  The 'Cats, playing their most well-rounded game of basketball, were led by senior Deonta Vaughn who had 16 pts. on 6-14 shooting.  

In the first half, the game stayed neck and neck until the Bearcats ended the half on a 15-0 run to lead 47-29.  The Bearcats came out strong in the 2nd half but quickly began to struggle as MSU cut the Cincinnati lead to just five.  The 'Cats would retain their composure and end the game strong, and picking up a quality win.

Mississippi State was led my Jarvis Vanardo who had 24 pts.

The Bearcats win gives the Big East its first win in the SEC/Big East Challenge.
